Creates: wood turned pieces
Andrew was first introduced to woodturning through his late grandfather, who was a prolific and creative woodworker. Andrew’s passion for sustainability, which partially stem’s from his collegiate education in the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU, has led to the medium of urban timber for his work. For the last six years, he’s been chasing downed trees across the Colorado Front Range (and occasionally beyond) to turn into handmade bowls, vases, hollow forms, and other wood products. Andrew processes all the material himself, from the whole log to the finished bowl, to ensure lasting quality. Each piece is finished with his own food-safe bowl butter, made from mineral oil and locally sourced beeswax.
