Barb paints each of her flowing silk masterpieces by hand, using traditional techniques and a whole lot of love. She grew up in the foothills at the base of Pike's Peak, and has cultivated a life-long interest in plants, earning her undergraduate degree in botany and biology before moving into microbiology. She creates her art from her converted garage studio, which features a thoughtful layout and special rolling frames made by her husband, Joel, that together allow her to work on two scarves at a time. Her two pups, Cricket and Lulu, help keep an eye on things and love to stop in for treats too.
