Tim is the owner of The Clay Center of Northern Colorado, where he and Amy craft their creations. Tim has years of experience with ceramics and started making pots in high school in 1973. Once upon a time, he was fortunate to even land a job at the world famous Casa Bonita restaurant, making pots on a kick wheel to entertain customers. His favorite thing about making pots is losing himself in the process, and feeling the flow of energy that can make time slow down and everyday worries and concerns fade away. Amy has been working in clay since college and then continued to take more and more pottery classes at community colleges. She now helps at the studio doing all the things, from loading & firing kilns, to mixing glazes, and keeping up on studio cleaning. One of her favorite things about pottery is making a series, to work through form and decorating ideas. She also collaborates with Tim by decorating some of the forms that he makes. Tim and Amy keep their shared display in our shop bursting with beautiful, handmade pottery, just waiting for you to visit.
